      Vearl Edison Whiting passed away on May 3, 2005, at home in Santa Maria, Calif., after several years of constant, loving care by Bonnie, his wife of more than 50 years. They were married in 1954.

      Ed is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Clark and Michael, and their wives and families; and a daughter, Carrie and her husband.

      Funeral services were held in Santa Maria on Saturday, May 7, 2005. He will be buried in Bountiful. A graveside service will be held at the Bountiful Cemetery on Wednesday, May 11, at 1 p.m. Friends may meet there prior to burial
