GUNDERSON
Gunder William Gunderson, a late resident of Lake Cowichan, British Columbia passed away at the Cowichan District Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997 at the age of 83 years.
Gunder was predeceased by his daughter Brenda (Vance) in 1978 and his brother, Arnold in 1997. Gunder is survived by his loving family; His wife, Melba, son, Jack (Rolli) Gunderson, daughter, Diana Gunderson, Darlene (Dick) Scott all of Lake Cowichan, and son, Byron Gunderson of Nanaimo. He is also survived by three grandson, Jack (Bub) Gunderson Jr., of Surrey, British Columbia, and Jesse and Matthew Scott of Lake Cowichan, and by his sisters, Astrid (John) Johnson of Victoria, British Columbia, Betty (Cliff) Spence of North Battleford, Saskatchewan and his sister-in-law, Rita Gunderson of Duncan, British Columbia, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service was held in the Lake Cowichan United Church on Monday, December 22, 1997 with Reverend Don Hatfield officiating. Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Gunder may be made to the Lake Cowichan United Church. First Memorial Services were entrusted with the arrangements.
