    William Bemis Whiting (son of Charles Edwin Whiting and Laurinda Eveleth) was born 29 Jul 1824 in Butternuts (now Gilbertsville), Otsego County, New York, and died 18 Mar 1916 in Whiting, Monona, Iowa. He married (1) Lucy Cutler on 1854 in Kirtland, Ohio.. He married (2) Emmor L. Cutler on 28 May 1866 in Cuyahoga, Ohio. He married (3) Elizabeth Urania Morley on 1872 in Whiting, Monona, Iowa.

    Notes for William Bemis Whiting:
    WILLIAM BEMIS (1824-1916) came to Iowa in 1856. He first married Lucy Cutler in 1854. She died ten years later, and he married her sister, Emma Cutler, in 1867. She died in 1869, shortly after their two sons, Cutler and Frank, were born. Cutler (1867-83) died while a student at Knox College. Frank was a Methodist minister in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, farmed at Whiting in later years, married Edith Kesterson.

    In 1872 William married Elizabeth Morley Whiting, widow of his brother, Myrick. They were the parents of Willard Baxter Whiting (1874-1942), grandparents of Elizabeth Whiting Schwartz, Norman Whiting, Louise Whiting Gillespie and Frances Whiting Allen.

    Lucy married Whiting, William Bemis in 1854 in Kirtland, Ohio, United States, United States. William (son of Whiting, Charles Edwin and Eveleth, Laurinda) was born in Jul 1826 in New York, United States; died in 1916; was buried on 20 Mar 1916 in Whiting, Monona, Iowa, United States, United States.
