Gwendoiynl."Speedy"Henderson,age 76 of Springfield,Missouri formerly of Norfork,Arkansas,enter into the Lord's rest on Monday,May 10,2010 in Springfield,Missouri.She was born November 30,1933 in Norfork,Arkansas to Harry and Goldie(Blevins)Francis.She was a retired homemaker.Gwen is survived by a son,John Henderson and wife Dayle,a daughter ,Sherry Chambers all of Springfield,Missouri,a sister,Sue Mayfield and husband Junior of Kansas City,Missouri,six grandchildren;Amy Rice,Anthony and Julian Chambers and Nicole,Jordan and Kaitlyn Henderson,and two great-grandchildren,Kayla Helms and Conner Burdette.She was preceded in death by her parents,a brother,Harry Francis,Jr.and her former husband,Vernon A.J."Dude" Henderson.Gwen was a generous and loving person who kept her sense of humor throughout her life.She was loved by everyone who knew her, including the caring staff of Christian Health Care West in Springfield,Missouri.Funeral services will be 10:00a.m.Friday,May 14,2010 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel.A visitation will be Thursday from noon-9:oop.m.with the family receiving friends from 6:00pm-8:00p.m.,at the funeral home.Interment will be in Norfork Cemetery.Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
