    Baker. Quinn age 69 died in Salt Lake Hospital after a short illness. He
    graduated from BYU, University of Utah, and from University of Colorado Medical
    School in 1938. He had a private practice in Carbon County since 1940. He had
    been a Price City councilman and first chairman of the College of Eastern Utah
    Prehistoric Museum. He served as chief of staff at Carbon Hospital .He
    retired in 1976. Burial was in Price City Cemetery.

    date not known, in possession of Beth W. Baker. While flying to attend the
    Utah State Medical association convention at Cedar City, was forced to land in
    a cow pasture near Parowan by darkness and strong headwinds. Howeve rno damage
    was done to the plane and the doctor took off the next morning for the
    convention."

    !MISC: There was a letter published in 1945, written by Quinn tellin gof some
    of his experiences in Germany with the 9th U.S. Army. " Dr. Quinn Whiting
    Writes Home To Tell About German Atrocities In Prison Camps", newspaper article
    in possession of Beth W. Baker.
