    • Matthew WHITON. In the Hingham Records, Matthew spelled his name Whyton. He was a large landholder, and engaged in the business of coopering manufacturing "Hingham Buckets" then well known throughout the settled part of the state. He spelled Whiton "Whyton". He died intestate, 22 Jul 1725 in 72nd year. He was a "cooper" and a constable in 1701.
