In my GG-grandmas Bible are listings of the Doughty family who settled in Colorado. Also have 3 obits from The Hotchkiss Herald with quite a bit of history listed, but I can find no verification. Any info would be appreciated, and am willing to share mine.

      Thomas E Doughty b 1785, m. Elizabeth Miller (b 1792)1813. John T.Doughty b 1834 m Mary Maria Whiting Bell (b 1833) in Denver 1865.
John T Doughty, Jr b 1867 in Denver.

They moved to Evans, CO, then South Platte where they lived at the "Doughty Ranch". Moved to Leadville in 1879. From there they went to Gunnison CO. In 1882 they, with the Smith, Hotchkiss, Mecalf and other families came across Black Mesa landing in Hotchkiss where they located on part of the Connable ranch on Barrow mesa but abandoned that for their present homeplace of "Doughty Springs".

This "Doughty Springs" was listed on my older road atlas, but not on the newer one.

One of their children was Maud who married Edward M. Duke in Hotchkiss 1891. Maud was a teacher in Hotchkiss and an artist.

Other names: Burt Doughty, Ray Doughty Charles Doughty, George Doughty. I have birth/death and marriage info on these. I have many, many Miller names with birthdates.

I cannot find any info on this family at all. Please help if you know anything about this family line. It would be much appreciated.
