SUDDEN SUMMONS COMES TO EVANS
Business Man, Apparently in Good Health, Dies While Wife Prepares Breakfast.
CALDWELL--J. H. Evans of this city passed away Sunday morning while apparently in splendid physical condition. His wife and he had carried on a conversation before the former arose and after preparing breakfast she came into the room to see if he was ready for the meal and found him still in bed. After calling him and getting no response she discovered he was dead.
Mr. Evans, who lived at Twelfth and Dearborn streets, returned home Saturday evening and retired almost at once though not complaining of feeling ill. He awoke Sunday morning about 7 o'clock and conversed with his wife. Mrs. Evans left the room and upon re-entering found him dead.
He is survived by his wife. Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be at Canyon Hill cemetery.
[The Idaho Statesman, Mar. 23, 1920 p.7]
The funeral services of J. H. Evans, who died of apoplexy Sunday evening, were held at his home at Tenth and Dearborn streets Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment was at Canyon Hill cemetery. [The Idaho Statesman, Mar. 26, 1920, p. 2]
