      *Hezekiah Allen was a non-graduate at Harvard University where he entered in 1796 and severed his connection Sept. 16, 1797. He was the son of Timothy and Rebecca (Eames) Allen and was born on the Pegan Hill Farm, December 12, 1775. He was descended in the sixth generation from James Allen. Hezekiah Allen was a farmer and inherited the home- stead. He was an assessor, and served on various town committees. He married Aug. 5, 1802, Julitta Whiting, and had six children. Near the close of his life he moved from Dover, and died in Orange, New Jersey^ November 18, 1858.
