died, Holliston, Apl. 11, 1847; married, Medway, Apl. 20,
i7g6, Rhoda Bullard, daughter of Timothy and Rhoda (Richardson) Bullard. She was born, Medway, Dec. 25, 1770, and
died there Aug. 15, 1805. He removed to Washington Co.,
Me., in 1815, where the town of Whiting was named for him.
His declining years were spent with his daughter, Mrs. Batchelder, in Holliston.
Their children, all born at Medway, were:
i. TIMOTHY,6
Apl. n, 1797; m. Adeline Bullard. He
lived in Lubec, Me., in 1820; then removed to
Cincinnati, Ohio, and finally died in Philadelphia
about 1873.
ii. RHODA,6
Sept. 9, 1798; d. Holliston, Sept. io, 1874;
m. William Searle Batchelder. (See Batchelder
Geneal., p. 208.)
iii. NATHANIEL,6
Jan. 16, 1802; d. Watertown, Nov. 18,
1871; m. Rebecca Bullard, dau. of Titus and Esther6
(Whiting) Bullard. She was b. Medway, Oct. 4,
1819, and resides in Boston, 1902.

Removed to Washington County, Maine in 1815, where the town of Whiting was
named for him. His declining years were spent with his daughter Rhoda Whiting
Batchelder.

444. Timothy8 Whiting (Nathan7, Nathaniel6, John5, Nathaniel4, Timothie3, Giles2, Giles1) was born 05 Aug 1767 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts, and died 11 Apr 1847 in Holliston, MA. He married Rhoda Bullard 20 Apr 1796 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts. She was born 25 Dec 1771 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts, and died 15 Aug 1805 in Medway, MA.
Notes for Timothy Whiting:
A book called History of Whiting, Maine.
In this book there is alot of information about a person named Timothy Whiting who the town was named after. Timothy is a descendant of Nathaniel Whiting of Dedham, Mass. Timothy Whiting was born 5 Aug 1767 and moved to Washington County, Maine from Medford, Mass in 1815. At that time he was a widower with three children, his wife having died in 1805. Timothy moved to Holliston, Mass after 1840. His son Timothy Whiting Jr. was in Lubec in 1822 when he bought 2000 acres of land from his father.
Timothy Whiting Sr. had owned over 8000 acres of land in 1811, and by 1825 he owned 15,600 acres of land. In 1816 Timothy Whiting Sr. was a resident of Plantation #12.

794 i. Timothy9 Whiting, born 11 Apr 1797 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts; died Abt. 1873 in Philadelphia, PA. He married Adeline Bullard 20 Apr 1828 in Bellingham, Norfolk, Massachusetts; born Abt. 1802 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts.
795 ii. Rhoda Whiting, born 09 Sep 1798 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts; died 10 Sep 1874 in Holliston, MA. She married William Searle Batchelder; born Abt. 1795 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts.
796 iii. Nathaniel Whiting, born 16 Jan 1802 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts; died 18 Nov 1871 in Watertown, MA. He married Rebecca Bullard 10 Jan 1838 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts; born 04 Oct 1819 in Medway, Norfolk, Massachusetts.
