    • OBITUARY FOR DORIS IONE KIMBER

      Doris Kimber Funeral Held Monday

      Miss Doris Kimber, 65, passed away at the Wesley Hospital in Wadena on Friday, March 17, 1972. Doris was born in Girard Township on June 24, 1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kimber and resided on the home farm all her life.
      She is survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Grace Kimber; two brothers, Burton of Girard and Robert of Henning; two sisters, Ruth of Girard and Mrs. Verl (Vivian) Smith of Bemidji. She also leaves one nephew and three nieces. Her father preceded her in death.
      The funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Henning on Monday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Darrell Vetter officiating. The organist was Mrs. Mae Syverson who also accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Hubert Nordgren, who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Rock Of Ages".
      Pallbearers were Walter Sorenson, Stanley Estes, Wilfred Estes, Larry Estes, Rudy Sagerhorn and Vernon Witt, Sr. Burial was in the Girard Cemetery. The circle from the Ladies Aid served lunch.
      In attendance were relatives and friends from Clitherall, Battle Lake, Underwood, Fergus Falls, Elbow Lake, Brandon, Alexandria, Montevideo, Red Wood Falls, Ottertail, Hewitt, Wadena, Bemidji, Deer Creek, Northfield, and Burlington, Wisconsin.
