  Needs URL Probably the Ebenezer listed in 1790 Massachusetts living at Dedham (page 198) with 1 adult male head of the household, 1 free white male under 16, 2 free white females and other free person in the household. Other possibility is RIN # 10950, though the death of this Ebenezer in Dedham would favor him. His son Ebenezer had married and was living on his own. William perished before the census. Joshua was over21 at the time of the census, and may have been living on his own. His first child was born in 1895, but we do not have date of marriage. Abner and Jason were under 16. Dau Prudence married before the census. EBENEZER FAIRBANKS, of Dedham, Mass. (20), Joseph IV, Joseph III, John II, Jonathan I. Born in Dedham, Sept. 26, 1732 [see notes]; died Feb. 11, 1812, aged 79 yrs., 4 mos., 15 ds. He inherited a share of the homestead, and purchased the remainder of the other heirs. Was a highly esteemed citizen. A letter, from an old man who remembers him, says, he was a man of fine presence and dignified bearing, and associated with the best people in town. He had considerable musical ability, and was for many years a member of the church choir. He sang with the choir at the memorial funeral services, held in Dedham, on the death of Gen. Washington, the hymn and music, written with a pen, being among the relics now preserved in the old house. He was a Revolutionary soldier. See War Rolls. He married, Dec 16, 1756, Prudence, daughter of Jonathan and Prudence Farrington of Dedham, who was baptized Jan. 1, 1737-8. She died Nov. 11, 1815, aged 77 years+.
