Hi all,
You all know at some stage the euphoria of breaking down the proverbial
brickwall - well ours has today come down after being in the way for about 7
years!.
Looking for anyone connected with the names of GARDINER, WHITING, DAMSEL,
and MILLARD, from the Chalford Lynch, Chalford, Bisley area.
Our brickwall was my 2 great grandmother Ann GARDINER of Winterbourne
(Mother of Annie GARDINER who married my Gt grandfather John BISP), who we
have today found out was married to Caleb GARDINER born 27/3/1825 Chalford.
Caleb was the son of Jasper GARDINER and Ann DAMSEL of Bisley, and Jasper's
father would appear to have been Ralph (married to Ann MILLARD in 1793)
My Great Grandmother Ann's maiden name was Ann WHITING, daughter of Noah.
Ann was born approx 1828 Chalford Lynch and in the 1841 census was shown as
living with her parents Noah and Ann.
Looking at Genuki I presume Chalford, Chgalford Lynch, and Bisley are pretty
much either the same place or side by side??
If anyone is researching any of these families, we would love to hear from
you and be more than happy to swap info.
