He settled in Northampton, Mass., where he m. 18 Dec. 1662, Thankful Woodward, dau. of Dr. Henry. As Capt. of the Hampshire Troop, in pursuit of Indians, he was killed 13 May 1704. A HISTORY OF DEERFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS, by George Sheldon, 1895: captain; a grantee of Northfield, but settled in Northampton; killed while in pursuit of Sieur de Montigney's party after the destruction of Pascommuck, May 13, 1704.
