The latter is living in Boston [1897]. He was educated at Derby Academy, in Hingham; came to Boston and his father's employ in the Fur business, Jan. 4, 1841. He is now carrying on the same business in the same store, having been there fifty-four years, with the exception of periods spent in voyages to Europe and around the world. During that time he has boarded in the old Dodd house in Salem St., one of the ancient landmarks of Boston. Timothy Dodd died Jan. 1, 1876, aged 95 yrs., 4 mos.
