Born in Dedham, Mass., Mar. 6, 1796; died in Foxborough, Dec. 3, 1880, aged 84 yrs. 8 mos. 26 ds. Had lived in Foxborough since Apr. 7, 1849. Served in the war of 1812 in a New Hampshire Regiment, Capt. Oliver Warren's company, from Sept. 20, 1814, three months as a private. He afterward, it is said, held the rank of Captain; was a pensioner. He was a citizen of excellent repute, and held his head above most, if not all of his neighbors, being 6 ft. 2 in. in height. Was a farmer.
Married Deborah Reynolds Belcher, May 31, 1819. She was born Apr. 14, 1796, and died Jan. 14, 1875, aged 78 yrs. 9 mos.
