Born in Augusta, Des Moines County, Iowa, July 26, 1856. He went to California, with his parents, when about three years of age. He resided in Petaluma, where he is engaged in the milling and paving business. He is also interested in fine stock raising.
He married, Nov. 5, 1878, in Jefferson, Marion Co., Oregon, Addie Belle, daughter of Jesse and Ruby (Bond) Looney. She was born in Jefferson, Aug. 30, 1856.
