Sylvia Amaretta married Dominicus Carter at Springfield, Illinois, and had for him one son, Erastus Francis who remained with his mother and came to Utah with her after she was divorced from her husband. Later Sylvia A. married John Snider, a trusted friend of the Prophet Joseph, with whom she came to Utah and lived in Salt Lake City where she had and reared a family for Snider. The latter few years of her life she spent with her son Erastus F. Carter and his family in Park Valley, Utah, where she died 24 May 1894."
