[Note: L. S. Fairbanks notes: "was living in Franklin, Mass., unmarried, when her mother's will was made." Her mother's will was dated Apr. 1, 1788, Suffolk Wills, vol. 87, fol. 504. Either he is wrong, or she married very late in life, i.e. after she was 55. Another possibility is that this is Freelove Stanley, who married Jonas Fairbanks (b. 1747), but his death would seem to make this unlikely, as he married her second, and did not die until 1825. The appearance of the child Freelove Fairbanks Pond b. 1767, if the daughter of Freelove Fairbanks would indicate marriage prior to that date. If she was living in Franklin, unmarried, in 1788, one would suppose Mr. Pond to have deceased before that date. Either way, the annotation "unmarried" would at least be curious, generally only applied to persons never married]
