      7. Susan, born in Roxbury, N. H., Jan. 15, 1802; married in Waterville, May 31, 1825, David, son of Amos and Rachel Willey, of Waterville, where he was born Feb. 18, 1801. He died Oct. 23, 1863. She died Dec. 18, 1888. He was a farmer. One who knew Susan Fairbanks from childhood, writes, "She was early distinguished for her capacity of mind and clearness of judgement. She began to teach in the public schools of her community at the age of 14 years, and was a useful teacher for ten consecutive years."
