    • Born in Wrentham, Mass., Oct. 31, 1809; lived in Providence, R. I. till 1858, and then removed to Wickford, where he died Jan. 22, 1896. He learned the trade of machinist when a very young man; became a skilled workman, and always, while in health, readily found employment. He married, Nov. 6, 1836, Anna Elizabeth Gudgeon, of Providence, daughter of John and Sarah L. (Wilbor) Gudgeon, who was born Oct. 13, 1816, and died in Wickford, Jan. 22, 1894.
