Born in Wrentham, Mass., July 6, 1801; died Dec. 8, 1857. He was a manufacturer of Satinetts and Kentucky Jeans; a good citizen, and a kind and indulgent husband and father. He was quite wealthy, but a large part of his property was swept away in the crisis of 1857.
Married, Feb. 5, 1829, Maria Pitts, daughter of Ezek Pitts of Mendon, now of Blackstone, a manufacturer of Woolen goods and a prominent citizen. She died Jan. 23, 1880.
