Was in America from I June 1879 to 27 May 1881. Silted clerk of Peking Presbytery since 1873. Secretary of China Branch Evangelical Alliance since 1885.
      Author of "Commentary on Romans," 1886, "Moral Philosophy," 1886, ••SnndaySchool Quarterly" (Member of Com.) 1877-9 and 1885-6. Revision of tracts for North China Tract Society, 1885-6, and minor tracts-all in the Chinese language.
