26699 | Steve Spicer (Steve's Family History Pages) May 2004 (Register Report: Robert Pease (1565-1623): November 1634: Sailed with his brother John on the ship Francis from Ipswich arriving at Boston late in 1634. 1637 Salem: Mentioned as having land in the early Salem Town Record. "Robert Pease and his brother" 1643: Joined the church at Salem at which time three of his children were baptized. He died before his mother, his estate inventoried 3 Nov 1644 and the widow Marie appointed administratrix. Widow Marie remarried Richard Haines of Beverly, Massachusetts, taking the three other children with her. He first married Lydia. (NOTE: Robert Pease c. 1603, md. 2 Dec. 1628 at Widford, Essex to Lydia West, spinster of Great Baddow. This information from Essex Marriage Licenses in London via Marshall McCoy via Scott Foster. Is this Robert and Lydia?) Robert and Lydia had the following children: Robert Pease and John Pease. He second married Marie. Certain communications indicate that her last name was French. While Rice goes into her Huguenot background, there is no reference to the name "French". Banks cites the records of The Quarterly Court, Vol I for three children by this marriage. | Pease, Robert (I20789)
