Whiting, Stephen (I1478)

26696 Steve Spicer (Steve's Family History Pages) May 2004 (Register Report: Robert Pease (1565-1623):
Elizabeth Pease and Abraham Page had a son Abraham Page.
Pease, Elizabeth (I20774)

26697 Steve Spicer (Steve's Family History Pages) May 2004 (Register Report: Robert Pease (1565-1623):
He married Margaret King, daughter of Francis King about 1586 in Great Baddow, Essex, England. Born 1573/1574 in Great Baddow, Essex, England. Died 1 Sept 1644 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.

1623: Will of 10 May 1613, proven 12 June 1623 names his wife Margaret, sons Robert and John, daughter Elizabeth and her husband Abraham Page.
Pease, Robert (I20782)

26698 Steve Spicer (Steve's Family History Pages) May 2004 (Register Report: Robert Pease (1565-1623):
Named in her husband's will, proved 12 June 1623, two months after he died. The widow Margaret continued to live in Great Baddow, Essex, England for ten years. Robert, the elder son, had wife Lydia. Wife Margaret emigrated to America in the years just prior to her death.
August 1636, Great Baddow: Witness to a bond given by William Vincent to be paid to Abraham Page (orphaned grandson by dauthter Elizabeth) when he comes of age.
1639, Salem: admitted as a member of the church in Salem. She evidently traveled to Massachusetts in 1639, probably accompanied by her son John who returned to Essex to get her.
1 Sept 1644 Will: mentions only her grandchildren, Robert and John, the sons of her deceased son Robert.
King, Margaret (I20781)

26699 Steve Spicer (Steve's Family History Pages) May 2004 (Register Report: Robert Pease (1565-1623):
November 1634: Sailed with his brother John on the ship Francis from Ipswich arriving at Boston late in 1634.
1637 Salem: Mentioned as having land in the early Salem Town Record. "Robert Pease and his brother"
1643: Joined the church at Salem at which time three of his children were baptized.
He died before his mother, his estate inventoried 3 Nov 1644 and the widow Marie appointed administratrix. Widow Marie remarried Richard Haines of Beverly, Massachusetts, taking the three other children with her.
He first married Lydia.
(NOTE: Robert Pease c. 1603, md. 2 Dec. 1628 at Widford, Essex to Lydia West, spinster of Great Baddow. This information from Essex Marriage Licenses in London via Marshall McCoy via Scott Foster. Is this Robert and Lydia?)

Robert and Lydia had the following children: Robert Pease and John Pease.

He second married Marie. Certain communications indicate that her last name was French. While Rice goes into her Huguenot background, there is no reference to the name "French". Banks cites the records of The Quarterly Court, Vol I for three children by this marriage.
Pease, Robert (I20789)

26700 Steve Spicer did a great job on the Pease family which for most is still a mess. Source (S78)
