None of his grandchi1dren were mentioned.

    Peter Beverley
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peter Beverley (1668-1728) was a Speaker of the House of Burgesses and Treasurer of Virginia. He was born in Jamestown.[1]

    Ancestry and family[edit]
Beverley was the first of three sons born to Major Robert Beverley and his wife, Mary of Yorkshire, England. He married Elizabeth Peyton, the daughter of Major Robert Peyton, and had three daughters: Susanna, Elizabeth and Anne.[1] His daughter, Elizabeth, married William Randolph II around 1705 and had five children that lived to adulthood.[2][3] His daughter, Susanna, married Sir John Randolph. His daughter Anne married Henry Whiting. Peter was the grandfather of Elizabeth Whiting who married Dr. John Clayton. Peter was also the grandfather of Peyton Randolph, a speaker of the Virginia House of Burgesses, chairman of the Virginia Conventions, and the first President of the Continental Congress[citation needed]; as well as the great-grandfather of Beverley Randolph, the eighth Governor of Virginia[2] and William Fitzhugh's wife, Ann Bolling Randolph Fitzhugh.[4]

The Randolphs were lineal descendants of Pocahontas.[5]

    5. Dr. Henry Whiting was born in 1650 in Gloucester County, Virginia and died on 18 Jul 1694 in "Elmington", Gloucester County, Virginia, at age 44.
Henry Whiting of Gloucester County, was a son of the James Whiting, who patented 250 acres of land on York river and Timberneck creek, Gloucester, on Aug. 10, 1643. Henry Whiting was a physician and in 1681 was a justice of Gloucester.

He seems to have been a sufferer at the hands of Bacon's rebels, but a few years later was treated as a rebel himself and accused before Gov. Culpeper and the council of having said in the assembly that if something were not done to bring about a cessation of tobacco planting the Virginians would have to "all go a plundering."

Whiting was suspended from all offices, civil or military, until the King's pleasure were known, and obliged to give bond for his future good behavior. His political sympathies are borne witness to by the fact that in 1682 he was one of Robert Beverley's bondsmen.

Dr. Whiting did not remain long in disfavor, however, for sometime prior to Oct. 9, 1690, he was appointed to the council, and was present at meetings in 1692 and 1693.

On July 5 of the same year he was appointed treasurer of Virginia, but did not hold the office more than a few months. His descendants are numerous.

John - Mary Whiting Jones was the daughter of Harding Jones and Mary Whiting. This Mary Whiting connects to the New England Whitings. She was born 1735 in Stonington, New London, CT, the daughter of Col. John Whiting and Phebe Greenman. I do not know how she connects to the Henry Whiting who married Anne Beverley. Or whether Henry Whiting connects to the New England Whitings. Henry Whiting was the son of Dr. Henry Whiting and Apphia Bushrod. He had a half-sister by his father's second marriage to an Elizabeth, named Catherine Whiting who married Maj. John Washington, George's uncle. Henry and Ann were the ggp of Peter Beverly Whiting who married Hannah Fairfax Washington. Regards, Linda Scott
