1. | Fairbanks, Almon was born in 1802 in Westmoreland, Cheshire, New Hampshire, United States (son of Fairbanks, Nathan Jr. and Sheldon, Clarissa); died about 1840 in Manchester, Dearborn, Indiana, United States. Notes:
No match in File. However, Jacob Jaquith (b. 1792 Fitchburg, Massachusetts) married Sophia Fairbanks (b. 1793). It is possible that Paulina Jaquith, his wife is a daughter or niece of Jacob. It is also probable that Amelia, Amoret, Amos, Catherine, Desdemona, George, Jonathan, Martha, Mary, Nancy, Nathaniel, and Rhoda are related if not children. Two marriages are shown early in Indiana: Solmon married Paulina Jaquith 1 Nov 1827 Alexander Fairbanks md. Catherine Perdum 2 Feb 1832. Before their children would be old enough to marry, Amoret married William van Sickle 24 Jan 1836. She is therefore probably not a child of either Solmon or Alexander, and certainly not by their spouse of the Indiana marriage. Nancy married Jeremiah Smith 18 Nov 1839. She would have been no older than 13, if a daughter of Solmon or Alexander by their Indiana marriage. Jonathan married in 1842. Not likely that a male married so young as to be offspring of Solmon or Alexander. Martha, in 1844, however, could have been 16, and certainly of marriage age. A check of the 1830-1850 Indiana census records is in order.
Almon married Jaquith, Paulina about 1827 in Dearborn, Indiana, United States. Paulina was born in 1806 in New York, United States; died in 1894 in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
