    My Whiting ties are from Cortland County, NY, and MA, originating in England. John Whiting, b. England, d. MA, married to Margaret Taylor. Son was John T. Whiting, b. 1802, Norfolk, MA, he married Eliza Hatten who was b. 1801 at Norfolk, MA. John d. 1872 at Susquehanna, PA. Eliza d. 1886 at Susquehanna, PA. The son of John Eliza was Preston H. Whiting, b. 1840 at Susquehanna, PA, d. 1912 at Cortland, Cortland Co., NY. Preston married Ellen A. Wilcox, b. 1842 at Susquehanna, PA, d. 1922 at Cortland, Cortland Co., NY. They had three children. The daughter of Preston and Ellen was Belva K. Whiting, my gm, b. 26 Jan 1885 at Cortland, NY.,d. 1951 at cortland, NY. She married Ray W. Fuller, who was b. 12 Mar 1883 at Cortland, NY, d. 17 Jun 1960 at Cortland, NY. Ray "Belle" had five children, the eldest was Charles, my father.
