The following is the obituary taken from the Friday, September 23, 1994 Beaver Dam Daily Citizen.
Janet Whiting
WAUPUN-Janet Whiting, 87, a resident of the Christian Home, Waupun, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1994 at the home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Union Congregational Church, Waupun, The Rev. Michael Bausch will officiate.
Mrs. Whiting was born on June 9, 1907 in Whitewater, Wis., the daughter of Frederick and Lillias (Morton) Hyslop. She married Ralph Whiting on Nov. 24, 1934 and they resided on the family homestead at Route 2,
Brandon, operating a farm. She was a member of Union Congregational Church, Waupun.
Survivors include four sons, Walter (Marilyn) Whiting, Oshkosh, Wis., Robert Whiting, Brandon, Dave (Marilyn) Whiting, Waupun, Col. James (Susan) Whiting, Virginia; two daughters, Janet Wodds, North Carolina and
Harriet (James) Laird, Waupun; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister Helen Wyman, Nebraska; one brother Ralph (Betty) Hyslop,
California.
Friends may call at the Union Congregational Church, Waupun on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 p.m. to the hour ofthe service.
The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun is serving the family.
