His wife, Hannah, daughter of John and Hannah DWIGHT of Dedham, survived him thirty years, managed his business affairs and br ought up a large family withy rare discretion. The corn mill was in the possession of the WH ITING family for more than two centuries. The last owner was William WHITING, son of Lemue l and Mary (GAY) WHITING, and of the sixth generation from the first miller, Nathaniel WHITIN G.
